We like the PaceSaver Espree Atlas Heavy Duty because it is very luxurious and has numerous features that can be customized. Nevertheless, there are some issues regarding its warranty.
Mobile scooters were pretty basic when they first appeared. Even now, there are numerous scooters out there that only satisfy basic needs. It’s good that you can still find simple and cheap models so that anyone can afford them. Nevertheless, if you are willing to spare a few extra bucks, you might want to consider a newer and more sophisticated model. The PaceSaver Espree Atlas Heavy Duty is a luxury mobility scooter, which is why it can be rather expensive. Nevertheless it comes with some benefits that can be worth the extra cash. Lets take a closer look at it and see what it can bring to the table.

This scooter has a maximum capacity of 450 lb. Its heavy duty reinforced frame is very durable and so are the seats. The scooter features a 360° Swivel Seat and an Easy Access Soft-Touch Tiller. Overall, the scooter is 45.5” long, 24.75” wide and has a 33.5” wheel base. Powered by a 4 pole motor that delivers 1 1/4 HP, this scooter has a maximum speed of 5.40 miles per hour and an approximate range of 20-30 miles, depending on the weight of the user. It has a 35” turning radius.

The scooter can easily dissembled into four parts for easy storage and transportation. Furthermore, the pull-pin separation process is to simple that you don’t even need any tools. The rear drive unit weights 41 lbs., the seat section weights 29.75 lbs. and the shroud only weights 3.50 lbs. If you are a daredevil on the road, you will be happy to discover that this scooter comes with the best incline stability rating in the mobility scooter industry, an integrated headlight, a “Posi-Lock” electric disc braking and a powerful 3 brake transaxle drive system. Its standard suspension does an excellent job absorbing shocks and it is very durable. The frame is also very stable and for increased stability, it features side anti-tips. Price and warranty
The great thing about this scooter is the fact that it is made in the U.S.A. This means that you have the guarantee of a durable construction, but if something were to ever go wrong, you would have no problem locating parts. The price includes the battery, a front basket and an on board charger. Optional accessories include but are not limited to saddle bag, flat-free tires, rear basket, head rest extension, pelvic strap, oxygen cylinder holder, walker holder, delta tiller and much more.
The scooter comes with the most extensive warranty in the industry: a five year prorated limited warranty on the transaxle, a three year limited warranty on main frame components and a one year limited warranty covering all internal components, even the electronics. While the warranty is indeed extensive, some customers were unsatisfied with the fact that it only covers the parts and not the labor. Considering the fact that this scooter costs $2,450.00, its warranty could have also covered the labor. Nevertheless, if you do a little digging around, you will see that there are a few select distributors which also include the labor in the warranty. However, there is also the matter of the frame which is only covered for three years. There are several cheaper scooters on the market which offer a lifetime warranty on the frame. Such is the case of the BuzzAround Lite 3 Wheel Mobility Scooter. As such, we have to say that the overall warranty package of the PaceSaver Espree Atlas Heavy Duty is not very reassuring.
